Ischia is one of the most beautiful destinations for those who love the sea, but perhaps few know that in its blue waters is always possible a close encounter with the dolphins. In the submarine canyon of Cuma – important feeding site for whales and dolphins playing and Risso’s dolphins, long been the subject of study by Delphis – home to many marine mammals, and is also an area where you can spot groups of sperm whales.

But Ischia is not only sea but also various beaches of sand and rock. Among many recommend the beach of Cava dell’isola in the Bay of Citara, of soft and clear sand . From the Hotel Providence there are only 60 steps or a road about 150 meters to reach one of the most beautiful places of the island.

The beach is much loved by the young and people of Ischia. And who wants can use the services offered by the bars and restaurants on the beach. At 400 meters from the hotel there is another beautiful beach to Citara. The hotel has an agreement with a bathing therefore will apply reduced rates to our guests.

Our hotel is directly located on this beautiful bay, a promontory from where you can admire wonderful sunsets. Citara means “fruitful,” not by chance that these waters were placed by the Romans under the protection of Venus Citarea and an ancient legend in these waters they used  to bathe of the Vestal Virgins.

Over the promontory of Relief in Forio, there is the beach of Chiaia, with shallow waters and fine sand, so suitable for families with children. Sant’Angelo is worth a visit to the Bay of Sorgeto, a beach of pebbles with hot springs in the sea and also allow Winter swimming in the sea.
